Agartala, March 19: Kamal Koloi, Executive Member (EM) for Health at the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC), recently visited the International Oncology Cancer Institute (IOC Institute) to inspect the newly Technology PET-CT Scan facility for cancer patients. The facility has been expanded to ILS Hospital and Kherengbar Hospital.
TTAADC has entered into a tie-up with the IOC Institute to provide cancer screening and diagnostic services for people in notified areas. Since last year, cancer screening tests have been conducted on the second Wednesday of every month at Kherengbar Hospital.
During his visit, Koloi emphasized that health and cancer screening camps will soon be organized across the TTAADC region under the direction of Maharaja Pradyot Kishore Debbarma, ensuring that residents in remote areas receive essential healthcare services.
This initiative is expected to enhance early detection and treatment of cancer, benefiting tribal communities and improving overall healthcare outcomes in the region.
