| Udaipur: The entire Matarbari assembly seat is affected by the flood |
Agartala: A food crisis has arisen in different areas. As soon as the news became known, Abhishek Dev Roy, MLA of the Matarbari Assembly Constituency, took the initiative to distribute 1,000 packets of food items to the affected areas, including Murapara, Jayanthi Bazar, and Banskhet Shastri Colony, on Thursday afternoon. As a result, people have been able to sustain themselves during these difficult times. This is due to the floodwaters entering rural areas, trapping people in their homes. Although the administration provided food items to various camps, the MLA had not anticipated such severe food shortages in multiple households. Local villagers feel that MLA Abhishek Dev Roy's efforts alongside the community have significantly benefited them. Additionally, prominent philanthropists Uppal Chakraborty, Abhijit Sarkar, and others were present on this occasion.
